Federal Workforce Program

New career training, fully funded by the government.

The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) provides grants to help adults, dislocated workers, veterans, and youth get into healthcare careers without taking on debt. If you qualify, your tuition is covered directly by a federal voucher.

Do you qualify for a WIOA grant?

WIOA prioritizes four groups. Final eligibility is determined by your local American Job Center (AJC), but most applicants from these categories qualify.

Adult Workers

Individuals 18 or older who are authorized to work in the U.S. and meet specific income guidelines or are currently receiving public assistance.

  • Low-income priority
  • Basic skills deficiency support

Dislocated Workers

For those who have lost their job through no fault of their own, including plant closings, mass layoffs, or extended unemployment. Dislocated Worker grants often cover a wider range of costs than adult ITAs.

Veterans & Eligible Spouses

WIOA gives priority of service to veterans and eligible spouses across all training programs. If you've served, you're at the front of the line.

Youth & Young Adults

Programs specifically for individuals ages 14-24 who face barriers to education or employment.

How to apply for funding

WIOA is a local program. Your nearest American Job Center handles the intake, verification, and voucher issuance. These are the three steps, in order.

  1. 01

Find your local American Job Center

Visit your nearest AJC to speak with a WIOA counselor. They will verify your eligibility documents. Use the CareerOneStop AJC locator to find yours.

  2. 02

    Select an approved program

Review the Eligible Training Provider List (ETPL) for your state. Zollege locations listed below are approved for WIOA funding in the states where they operate.

  3. 03

    Receive your voucher

Once approved, you'll receive an Individual Training Account (ITA) voucher. It covers your tuition directly with no out-of-pocket cost and no repayment obligation.
